Week 7 Blog Update

Hello again!

The two week teaching break was a very productive time for everyone here at Project Ver.

After taking week 6 to conduct as many stakeholder as possible, we were able to evaluating the information we collected. By summarising the information provided by each individual we talked to, we were able to tabulate the end user needs. Guided by the HCE process which emphasises the importance of end user, we were then able to translate the identified needs into device requirements.

To ensure that our requirements reflect the end users, we have created a survey that helps us as the project team quantifiably measure the level of importance of the needs. If you have spare time or are interested in getting involved in the project, you can click the link below. The Survey will take no longer than 5 minutes to complete!

Following the client update from the NVDA conference, we have taken the opportunity to start market research. We are hoping to get our hands on a Jetson Nano in the coming week which will give us some hardware to play around with while we move forward into the more conceptual design phase.

On another note, if you have been following along with our project development through the website, hopefully you have seen that we have made of changes to the website design. With a new colour scheme and changes to the website layout, we hope that the website is more accessible to you as the end users! Please feel free to send us feedback if you think there is something we are missing!!
